Mountain hotel Tabite Maxim is situated on the ridge of Stara planina above the town of Apriltsi, 14 km from sq. Ostrets of Apriltsi to the north, and 26 km from the village Taja to the south. Travelling with off-road vehicles on the stone path from Apriltsi or Taja to the ridge takes about 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes depending on the season and weather conditions. In winter season with snow cover a vehicle can only reach the area of deep snow and then climbing the ridge continues by chain machine or by foot.

Mountain hotel Tabite Maxim is situated at the foot of the mountain peak Maragidik (1890 m), at 1580 m above sea level, at the very center of Stara planina in Central Balkan National Park, between the two highest peaks Botev (2376 m) and Kademlia (2276 m), above the century-old forests in the area of pastures and beautiful views in all directions of tens of kilometers.
